first check it with eeprom tools
if it sayes mcu check sum test failed
then this is unrepairable
if any thing else than just heat the ccont and cobba to the point where the solder melts but dont touch it what so ever try to add some flux or paste while heating
note that u need an a smd rework station

why should this be unrepairable?
just try to reflash the MCU, sometimes more erase-cycles are necessary, but if the flash IC is not completely damaged, you may succeed.

Arrow hanoon©

sure ur solution will be with wintesla...u must learn where is ur faulty part in ur phone however its software or hardware....

if its hardware it will be in Ccont or Cobba ,,u must first try to rehot them with good liquid flux then its will be ok to repace faulty part if no sucess,,,,,,

good luck!

CS might be due to:

CCONT interface
COBBA:
-serial interface
-parallel interface
MCU Checksum
PPM Checksum
Eprom tune checksum

CCONT, COBBA failure just reflow using hot air rework station.
MCU, PPM, and EEPROM tune just flash with corresponding flash files.

Then recalculate faids, or splocks

Help!

Hi all!
I have 8250 in Contact service.
When I'm reading it by M-Bus with NokiaTool it shows:
MCU SW: V 3.18.03-04-01.NSM-3D.(c) NMP.
IMEI: 000000000000000
Original IMEI: 656565656565656
All locks are closed with FF.

I've made one 8210 with similar problem by flashing eeprom area from working phone and updating FAID.

But I can't flash this 8250! I think F-Bus on phone isn't working...
So what parts should I check or rehot?

Its possible that the Flash ID of your phone is 08988c2, in this case you will need 956 bytes boot.bin and 6.09KB f_loader for use with Dejan 1.00. Alternatively, you may use Rolis 4.77. Just select your mobile model, and ignore "mobile choosing wrong" message box. It will flash the eprom area of your phone.

Problem of my 3210 is contact service.
MCU Eeprom Interface - Failed
Eeprom Tune Checksum - Failed
After calculation of FAID and eeprom checksum still Contact Service.
It can't be flashed... Unknown flash ID...
Any comments?

Hiya

If u have message: flash type unknovn then is 95 % that flash is phisically damaged or bad soldered. Try to resolder flash or change it.

There is 2 type of CS:

- software ( phone powers itself, reset and show CS ; phone powers itself, reset, show insert simcard, then reset again and show CS )

- hardware ( phone powered, lights only then CS; no reset at all )

For software - reflash mcu, ppm, eeprom and pmm, recalculate checksums, restore imei and ur phone working.

For hardware: cobba, flash or eeprom ( if present physically) can be bad soldered or damaged. Sometimes ccont also can be cause for this. Also there can be other reasons like broken lines on pcb but this is rare case.

In my experience ....If the "contact service " cannot be reapaired through software by flashing the set....then the Audio IC (COBBA) should be replaced.....

this is what we do in our workshops and the problem is solved. After replacing COBBA just calculate FAID...and unlock

Please try and post results here.
