I hate nokia !! 3310 problems still

Ok 3 phones all useless 3310's

Phone ONE upgraded to 4.45 log calculated(cheers)partial flashed, now freezes and has intermittant signal.

Phone TWO downgraded fron virgin 5.03 to 4.45 with same file as above. Go to re-log and returns can'r read msid !

Phone THREE will not leave "contact service" backed up with rolis 5.14 and backups will not re-install or do but still keeps saying contack service, think the eeprom is shagged cos it comes up with imei number of 000000... etc. Tried to restore backed up eeprom but still the same, help !

Hi

First 3310 may have HW problems<br />(moisture,fall on the floor ,..etc)

Seccond 3310 - your 445 flash file may be unlocked already and if your msid have something like ...00000011000....<br />you must relock back and only after this upgrade authority.

third 3310 - if have IMEI 0000... thats mean,that <br />something erases or damaged eeprom.<br />Read an look with hexedit inside

first - not sure its hardware cos nothing has changed from before. Stranger things have happened

Second - How do i change the msid and what do i change it to

Third - i've looked in the hex editor and there is data but it don't make any sense to me, lonegunman has had a look and determined it's f**ked. Is there anyway to build a new one ? can i use a copy of one and transfere the data ?

Second - Reflash the mcu/ppm, then read log, calculate log, return calc'd log to fone, unlock with partial

At the moment I'am trying to rebuild my computer after a lovely virus.I have asked for 3310 eeproms to do some testing with and have yet to get any (out the 8000+ members no one has sent any) so I can't do any test's as of yet but what I can tell you is the very front of the eepromm holds the sec code and IMEI, so if you flash over the front of the eepromm good bye phone.

@flick - do like DavieB said ,<br />the same apply for first 3310.Maybe your calculated log were wrong.

Third nokia - rewrite all eeprom from other <br />similar version and ask rebuild IMEI and Splock data.Then make log calculation ,like after language or sw change.<br />This isn't cheep,but better than nothing now.

Seccond time make eeprom backups,it's takes not <br />so much time and (!) cost only 0$.

i made an eeprom backup using rolis 5.14 so errm don't know what happened

Send backups to me I'll check it.<br />And if you have flashed only<br />mcu+ppm,your eeprom area must be ok <br />(if no one don't damaged previously) <br />Try read with 477 not 514 version,cause it <br />have chk verify feature
