Member: 1326 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hey guys, I'm reading here still about re-flashing with full flash but I tried to take flash from 3310 v4.18 and put it to another 3310 same version and phone then tells sim is not accepted! Then I've tried partial flash but phone still stay rejecting any sim. I suppose that in flash is stored imei or whatever and phone checks record in flash with some which it has on the other place. So how can you can say that you searching for full flashes? Is there any tool which can update imei in flash (for 3310) ? Please gimme advice and someone explain it. THNX in advance! ~ChM |

A full-flash has to from 200.000h to 3D0.000h, because the IMEI is in the part 3D0.000h to 400.000h. The most full-flash files on the internet are the one WITH IMEI. So becaurefull with this one. Before you want to uses this one you have to truncate this file at position 3D0.000h. Good luck ! |

Member: 2008 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | Hi All The best way to backup phone is "NEVER!!!!" Back up full range of eeprom. What is the point of backing up areas you will not touch eg 8210 any version ONLY backup from 200000h-300000h there is "NO NEED!" to backup above 300000h because you will never touch this part of the flash and you will not be able to "No Network" most phones Also another good idea is to back up exact area you are going to flash eg 8210 any version 280000h-290000h this way if it dont work you can reflash phone back to original state without need of hex editor. Member: 2008 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | Hi All No One Seems to be listning to me Regardless of 3210 which you can do a full backup to. This is standard practice, not to touch area above flashing point so you will not incur errors, as I said above DONT! touch any area above eg 8210 300000h, because you have not flashed to this area so it cannot be changed so there is no point reflashing above this so you will not have any errors. Regards Charlie |
