Can anyone please help, my phone has just switched of then on and send something about card not being accepted now i don't get any reception

If its blacklisted (barred) it means its been reported lost or stolen, or somebody failed to keep up payments on their contract and the networks have blacklisted the phone. If you are in the UK, you have an expensive paperweight.

Does it say "Sim registration Failed" ?? If so, then its blacklisted / barred

There is a local guy here that says he can unblock it, is he just talking b******s.

Unblocking/unlocking the phone to work on another network - fine no problems, anybody can do that, even you with free software.

Unbarring a blacklisted phone - highly illegal in the UK, and needs special hardware (you have to physical remove the UEM chip from the PCB, replace with a new one, by a log for a new IMEI number etc etc).

Not adviceable at all, a maximum of 2 yaers inside for a first offence, and up to 5 years inside for persistent offenders.
