Member: 1134741 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | E65 (keypad not working) only off/on button My E65 suddenly started acting strange. When you boot the phone up, everything appears to work but when you press the keypad - it doesnt work? The only buttons that work are the on/off button. I have tried replacing the keyboard flex but the problem remains. I took it to 3 (UK) and they said as the phone is 2 years old, time to upgrade. I dont want to.. Can anyone help please? Thankk you Jane |

Member: 1135083 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | Does the handset sometimes respond and work ok, then othertimes it fails? An intermittent fault? If you have replaced the flex and problem is still evident - you must REPLACE the Keypad IC - thats the middle one of the three. Its part number is Z4402 and will 100% sort your problem out. Most serious repairers will do this but the "quick bucks" shops will not. You say that you are on 3 network in UK - i would perhaps stay with the firmware that your phone has because a lot of the generic flashes are problematic and the Planet3 service doesnt always work... so be careful! Just do a search and you will see what others think. Good luck Zulfi ps YOU MUST MAKE SURE THE PART NUMBER IS Z4402 |
