N95 blank screen problem - GSM-Forum

Hi all,
This is no doubt a common fault but I just want to check if you agree before I order a new screen.

Nokia N95

I slid up the screen as normal and noticed that it had some vertical lines and not the usual display, I open and shut the slider a couple of times and then the screen went blank. I can see that the back-light is working, just can't see anything on the screen at all. The phone itself works.

I've tried re-seating the screen ribbon but that hasn't helped.

Do I just need to order a replacement screen or could it be some other problem?

Right this is quite odd, I removed the battery, replaced it and started the phone. The screen worked for a while then blanked again.

I took the back cover off and a long screw fell out, this appears to be stripped (untouched by me) so won't screw back in place.

prova a sostituire il flat a me e' capitato. ad un'altro ho dovuto sostituire gli emifilter. prova il flat prima di cambiare il display .
