Nokia 6230 Fault - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I have a nokia 6230, which I believe is faulty... the fault is when I turn off the phone and then turn it back on I have to re-enter the time and date...

Does anyone else have the same problem?
Is there a cure for it?
why does this happen?

All suggestion welcome

Check the phone memory battery

u should be able to find a small hand clock battery, should have at least 1.5 v

if not change it

but before opening the phone try to do a factory reset, after that
power off phone from power switch and remove the battery (phone one) for 2-3 mins

should be ok!!

be aware!!!!!!! reset to factory setings might erase some pics tones in your phone!!!!!!

Working all fine now...The battery was not seated correctly.
