try change the k marked componet. It is charging fuse...

The 6310i I had, the fuse was ok
all charging components were ok, problem was in the UEM.

I have a 6310i that isn't charging. The fuse had ****n so I shorted it (temporary fix!). When I plug the charger in there's still no charging but the pitch of the charger oscillations you can hear changes as though it's feeding huge current. I guess there's a short somewhere but I can't see anything obvious. Anyone got any suggestions?

the problem with 3100 is very old and very easy to fix, just make full flash with the last software version+full factory reset+unlock.

any suggestions as to which component(s) are faulty? I think this is a common fault but can't find any info to help me fix it!

first try factory settings in the phone menu,
if this does not work, then flash mcu + ppm.

Thanks. Tried flashing but that didn't work.

Turns out that Zener V101 and capacitor C107 had both gone closed circuit giving a major short. Changed V101 (after some difficulty!) with one from a donor phone and tried to change C107 but wrecked it's pads. However, even without C107 the problem now seems to be fixed as the phone charges!

Will the absence of C107 cause lasting damage? I guess it's just for smoothing so wouldn't think so, but anyone's views would be welcome.

shorted fuse fixed it cheers obviously i changed the fuse after testing dont just short and leave or board can be permentently damaged cheers for fix
