E8oo problems after changing housing


Hi today to replaced the housing apon a e800, but after re-asembley the powers up ok on and dawn but none of the buttons work no, but here is the strange thing ,if i take the back plate were the battery goes and hold the battery to phone it all works ok alll the buttons work ok


ive being tyring to fix for agood few hours now with no luck, i realy hope someone can help me

not sur what u mena buy the side button, the camrea button or the vvolume button? if so i cant see how that would stop the all the keys on the phone from working

In some cases when side button or any button on phone is stucked others want work...

Its very importat that the green isolation tape is still on the flex. if you have removed this green tape or attached it wrong the phone will malefunction.

this could be the problem then i have just checked and i havent put it back on

can i use anything else to fix this

that sound like a joke ,cos the tape is only to just help keep the flex in position,it does not necessarily do much and you can do with out the tape.

Not a joke. The tape is a esd protective tape that will protect the flex cable from distortion form other sources..
