clip communication failed while flashing !!!!

useing smart moto 1.10 flashing a v3 via clip while writing first section during flashing normally at around 17 % but can be any %, "commincatin with clip failed comes up ,highst it has got to is 49% ,so far i have not got any further and of course i have a dead phones on my hands !! , please some one have the answer?, i think it is something on my pc that hates flashing as i was flashing some 3330s yesterday with knock 95 and that just stops randomly ,phones flashed ok on another pc, also same happens useing the nec flashing sw, just stops flashing can be at any point, now that is via USB the knock program is not , but via lpt port as is smart moto so the problem seems to affect all ports , any pc bright spark can help me ? i have shut dowm all other progrms useing selective start up in case of some conflict , it made no difference.

same happened to me flashing a v980m,
while flashing codegroup 4 it gave "comunication failed",
had to power phone manualy, init flashing again and this time worked fine,

check lpt port settings, sometimes if not in EPP mode (faster) it could lead to that timeouts with some flash chips
