yes, but if you unlock it pure via SW without opening the phone and cutting it, you can fool service...
or with many models you can lock it again.
but this way it is inpossible to hide work on the board

I've had customers return their unlocked phones to motorola many times. However I'm guessing it will be a dif story when they see the shield tampered with or removed.
There are pro's and cons both ways. besides, there is really no way to tell which way phone unlocking is gonna go in the future. could all be over tomorrow the way I look at it.
my 2 cents.

I agree wit ya!
If you're working with a lot of phones, sooner or later you will mess up one phone, and that can be really expensive.
we need one button solution or solution via smart moto (like V3 BL 0.86+)

@inovator
at first i dont like to hide my work so i don't drill covers, i drill shield
second - if you force the price one dead phone will never be a problem...it will be a problem if you unlock phone cost 1000$ for 50CENTS
@simlockgsm
i dont know where are you living but if custoer in my country try to return unlocked phone /which is taken from any network operator with bill plan/ to any motorola service center he will pay for any service...so it's not metter of this is phone opened/drilled/burned or hardware changed........
@daiphil all is for money bro.....do you unlock phones for smiles here to you 3of them and hay to bue a food with this??????????pay rent maby?????????or bye other box-es???????

ofcourse if you have 1000 moto phones is very hard to open them all, dril/unlock etc. but this is prise for....more havy work and more risky - more money and ofcourse part of people which are in business will stop to work on motorola phones and this is good for others

"only the brave" like on DIESEL cloths, will be the moto of unlockers in the world soon.....you see the only way for BB5 unlock /i mean change RAP3 cpu + flash/ this is very risky on new phone and this is the price so high.... so this stop automatickly all 50 CENTS unlockers

regards to all

when did i mention cover drilling??

I just think that if you buy a service equipment it should help you as much as possible, Tp solution isn't the best solution SC team can provide.
I agree that this can kill sunday unlocking, but we just need a quicker solution, or in plain words less risky for the end customer.

Yup you're right!!!I would rather use testpoint method to unlock new phones that easy direct unlock method.with this method market for unlocking new phones using testpoints will not easily go down.and less competitors just like MELDON said.

dear mr daiphil, i think you are just "one button unlocker" and "jealous" of those with skill

you call us money grabber, we are just "real" unlocker...

where were you when dejan flasher with pathc files in use? no where...

where are you in siemens and sagem unlock field? no where..

newer sony ericsson? no where...

come on man, keep up with the trends. if you are not good enough to be an unlocker, then no need for jealousy.

maybe you think unlock business is the easy option in life. maybe move to "flower aranging" field. it will be more for you
