Any way to flash N70 without insert SIM card? - GSM-Forum

Thanks, anyone can give help? I have 2 N70, the first one was from local store and the second got from eBay. I successfully flashed the first one without insert SIM card. when I try to flash the eBay one yesterday, It still give me the error message is :

Changing phone's operation mode failed.
Do you want to retry?
HRESULT 0x80043005 (-2147209211)
CMtcFN::SetCurrentMode, transition not allowed;MTCFN=0x80043005

I read some topics about this problem, have been told what to do just need to insert SIM card. but that really *****, I just know the phone was locked to 3 network and I have no this type of SIM card, no 3 network my here therefor even can't buy it.

Is there any way to flash this phone without insert SIM card? I just need to flash the firmware to latest version.

There is nothing wrong except that u need to put ur phone wuth sim card and network must be on, then u plug it to phoenix and change the phone mode to rf inactive then back to normal mode again. qucikly off the phone after closing phoenix. take out sim card, and on the phone. Run phoenix again and after its ready to scan phone, plug in the cable and do the scan and now u can reflash the phone without error mesages. It happens to me many time before but now i got this solutions works everytime.

@edryzmed : no no, SIM locked. so I will not able to boot up phone to normal mode with my local SIM card.

well u can use a non active sim i used my old simcard to flash a phone on that was on 3 (no reception) or u can just borrow a friends or some one u know simple

there's no "3" carrier in the United States......
