trying unlock 6680 with dku5 chinese keep geting bad conection check cable etc..... anyone have clu???thanks

For those who don't know differences on cable.. here's an info i got from another site:

DKU-2: It is straight Pop-port to USB cable. It does not appear to have microcontroller or USB-serial bridge inside the cable. The cable connectors are in Black color.

CA-53: It is replacing the DKU-2, both are electrically identical but CA-53 is RoHS compliant without any hazardous material in manufacturing (more on this later). The cable connectors are in Gray color.

CA-42: It is replacing the DKU-5 for most newer compatible handsets. It eliminates the software emulation but doing the Pop-port to USB conversion right at chip inside the cable. No more virtual COM port will be installed and - which is totally different from DKU-5. It behaves more like a true plug-n-play when a handset is attached. Speed can go beyond the DKU-5's 115200bps limitation (at 230400bps). The cable connectors are in Blue color and the USB side is about 7cm in length, which is longer than DKU-2 or CA-53.

DKU-5: It is the older design with serial port emulation and there is a speed limit at 115200bps. NOT a good idea for today's high speed packet data connection. It is also very clumsy with the driver. The cable connectors are in Black color and the USB side is about 7cm in length, which is longer than DKU-2 or CA-53.

I have been trying for the past week to unlock my 6680 I have tried all cables (dku-2,ca-42,ca53,com port cable) without success
till I read your post I installed the drivers for the dku-5 cable (not original nokia cable) and it works finaly my 6680 is unlocked

I have no idea on making this programm work, i have just signed up to this site and i have a nokia n70 which i want to unlock.

i have a CA-53 cable which came with my mobile phone when bought.

what else do i need , how do i make this thing work i will much appreciate if some 1 can help.

hi, ihave a dku 5 cable but when i connect it to my n73 or 3230, it says handest not conected and i cant use the unlocker. i tried connecting it to a 7210 and it worked and the program was able to read the phone. can anyone help me on finding a solution to making the dku 5 cable connect to bb5 fones

right-click on my computer, click properties->hardware->device manager->ports

look for the port your nokia cable is installed on. if its above 9, you have to change it to a free port in the range 1-9 by right-clicking on it, clicking proprties->port settings->advanced->change the port

then go into dejan's config file bb5_unlocker.cfg, and change it to point to the correct port

as has been said 1000 million times at this stage, it doesn't work with the ca-53

you didn't even think to read one page back where i said i was sick of someone asking on every single page if the 6280 can be unlocked?

i know this because i read all 122 pages of the thread

so does that mean the software will work with the CA-42 without having to deal with COM ports?

Hi to all the experts in the forum... I've read each & every post (in the 123 pages!!) but still can't find a way to unlock my N70. I've connected my CA-42/DKU-5 compatible (chinese) and it uses the driver ser2pl.sysy. It shows up in the Device Manager as CA-42 USB-to-Serial Bridge (COM3) but hangs Dejan Soft when run.

Please help?!
