s40 freeze - GSM-Forum

I just got back from Italy where the S40 worked fine. When I got back to New York, the phone constantly freezes up - no keys may be pressed unless battery removed - repeats after a few minutes.

Called Siemens - they blamed T-Mobile network for software bug. Called T-Mobile - deny any problems - say problem is with Siemens. Called Siemens back and they refuse to do anything to help.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? I can't believe Siemen's shortsighted view to rather lose a customer than to help a customer.

If I have to replace this phone, it will certainly not be a Siemens.

Siemens S40 has a lot of problems with it's software, and to repair your problem you need to flash it again, or maybe will help only 'reset software', that is doing by entering the code, that I cannot remember. Try to ask for this code someone in this forum.
