so because i think it takes a while till it is possible to make fubu of x65 here is how to change your menu icons manually
you need

http://download.siemens-club.ru/files/x65/od.rar
if you dont know how to use od tool read this thread first

http://www.times.lv/misc/x65/SmoothIcons.zip
unzip this file and you'll find 1st a set of new icons (don't have to use these ones) 2nd a main.fs file 3rd a readme.txt file with a short instruction
before you make changesalways make copies of your original files
copy the pictures named 1_b, 1_s to 9_b,9_s (1_b means icon for menu 1 b=big better activated 1_s means s=small better inactive)
to your config/japp/flexmenu folder
replace main.fs with the one you got in the SmoothIcons.zip
restart your phone DONE!!!

some more tips wanted?
ok no problem
if you want to use pictures in another format rather than *.png, edit the man.fs (the "NEW" one) with an hex editor and replace all png entries with i.e gif, the pictures should be named the same way 1_b.gif, 1_s.gif and so on
be aware you can't use animated gif's. ok you can use them but won't see an animation

so you want animated menu icons??
no problem at all

download http://www.times.lv/misc/x65/main_animated.fs
rename the file to main.fs
if you want to use other format than png read tip above.
you need one graphic named 1_s.png to 9_s.png for the not active/not choosen state of your icon.
to have an animated icon in the active/choosen state you'll need at least two pictures (it depends how much frames your animation should have)
the pictures have to be named for example for menu point (1) 1_#1.png, 1_#2.png, ...... up to how many frames/pictures your animation has
repeat last step for menu 2-9;

copy all pictures and your renamed very new main.fs to your config/japp/flexmenu folder

I dont know if Im being stupid, but I cant get this to work.
I can get as far as seeing the hidden files, and getting into config/japps/flex

But I dont know how to backup, or which ones to backup, and I cant copy the new icons over.

Any help is really appreciated
