new fun in nokia - changing menu graphic icons

okay guys, new funny thing to do with your nokias.
to start with, prepare ur mcu+ppm package and lets start the fun with 5110 (no animated graphics and much easier). am doing mine with nse1-5.30b

supported models:
3210 v.6.00
3310 v.4.45, ((5.11, 5.13)) <<-- dunno if this worx in versions like these etc.!
3330 v.4.50 (not tested)
5110 v.5.29, 5.30
6110 v.5.24
8210 v.5.31 (not tested)
8850 v.5.30 (not tested)


Launch NokHex and to have a quick start goto options and check auto-hex and auto-pic, leave fixed size as is, this insures that you don't mess with valid values in your flash file.

open flash file to have fun with.

to make things easier, use the combo box. in the lower right corner there's a selection for phone type, menu type and animated frame number (if exist), red box appears if invalid anyway.

so, to start with editing just set everything properly, which means setting phone type to "5110", menu to "Phone book" the 1st menu and just select "1" in the animated frame number (it aint animated, so if you select "2", red box appears.)
if done correctly, an image will appear in the canvas, do whatever you want with it but don't fall below the red line coz it will not be shown in your display.

one nice thing to do with this is to save it to bitmap type and edit using simple tool like mspaint etc. it will be saved in vertical format bmp, just rotate it in paint and zoom it to
ease the editing, you can even copy-paste from logomager bmp files and resize so that it fits the (16-2)x64 pixel resolution. i'm doing this a lot since am not really good in by-pixel graphics creation

btw, left-click puts a pixel and right-click erases, you can also invert using
"edit-invert" or crtl-i.

have one graphics ready? now, try to load it using "load bmp" in File menu.
remember you must load a valid bmp size and format.

-when u edit on the canvas, press "pic to hex" every after edit <<--important
-every after edit remember to press "save to file" <<--important.
(and "file-save" before exiting the proggy)

edit other icons using "next offset", this automates next graphics finding.
u will end up with netmonitor.

tired? you should be, hehehe! (me too! 56mins past 1am)

okay, if you saved everything right you may exit now.

fix checksum now, nfree will do or auto-fix by rolis flasher.

flash to phone.

update faid USING LOG, any of the two will do.

Can be changed hole picture or just a part from it?
