The reason I say this is because the filenames are the same for the date/version.. H- 2008 J- 10th month (oct) 1- Revision 1. Not worth flashing if you already have XEHJ1 in my opinion, all you will get is different languages. | |

Member: 8879 Status: Offline Sonork: 100.84016 Thanks Meter: 327 | Hi all Firstly, thanks for this thread, it has been very helpful and infomative! These are jsut the sort of threads needed in this forum and should be stuck! 2ndly, i have rehoused F480 at work, new lcd and front cover/touch screen! And before i did that handset was working ok! After it started rebooting on pwr up, so i have flashed it, but it is still doing same thing! I am trying now with latest f/w posted in this thread, but i think i will have the same issues! I have full download and bootfile inserted, and have tried flashing low file, am now trying mid! Has anyone got any other suggestions? Ok, have interesting error on screen now! It says: Page: 1/10 <Pic #> S/W Version : F480+XE+HJ1 Modem: KLRZ23501600T SHP: VPP R5 2.1.1 Build Host: CISBUILDPC BuildAt: 2008/10/08 21:06:36 ASSERTION_NEVER_GET_HERE: NEVER_GET_HERE failed. Member: 893221 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi All, I am in Australia and wanted to change my brand new F480 to the F480XXHF7. I flashed it as per the guide, phone was never turned off etc, however the screen went after it rebooted, the phone has sound and the screen is very faint (can only see under light and very hard at that) - I can see the menu's have changed to the new firmware, but it's as if the backlight has gone. I work for a telecommunications company so was able to swap the phone for a new one, but I want to know what could have happened to it? - Also, if I use a version such as F480XXHF7 being that I am in Australia, does the software from Europe effect my phones frequency operating on 850mhz HSDPA? Thanks in advance from a n00b. |
