F.A.Q. About BB5 UID Box Info

Q1: When update show below info:
Error! Could not open a hw_read channel

A1:
1. Disconnect the box and do it one more time

2.The problem is the IC U20, probably the IC is corupted, try to check here

Follow is the step About upgrade your device box

-----------------------------------------------------
In order to upgrade your device box please execute the following procedure. Run the
program: bb5_updater.exe

Warning!!: During the upgrade procedure, must be sure the BB5 U'ID box will remain connected to the PC till the upgrade it is done.


1.Press "Save HW Conf" button, and wait till procedure will finish.

2.A message: "Saving HW configuration data." Will be displayed in the program console.

3.Wait few seconds and press "Update HW" button from the program.

4.After the "Update HW" procedure was executed, a message will be displayed in the program console: "Write End"

-Wait few second.
-Close the "bb5_updater.exe" program.
-Restart the "BB5 U'ID box"

P.S. do not forget to restart the box after upgrading the firmware..

Q2: About the TP to VGA connector

A2:
4=Clk
5=Data
6= + Power Button
8= Gnd (GND near the RAP)


Q3 When Unlock use battery or Power supply

A3:
We do not recommend use power supply, use original battery fully charged, then the unlock will work perfect, if you are using power supply, unlock procedure can fail.



Q4 About 6280 step

A4:

• Follow the manual check the which ver. u have keep in ur hand
• Check the phone ver. if that same as on the manual
• If not correct ver. then u must flash it (suggest use original HWK {UFS} or {UB}to do it in correct procedure
• Perp U'ID box and periphery equipment
• Follow the guide solder the wire (Recommended wire using single 0.3mm,length should not exceed 400mm) to the TP.
• Connect the phone to do unlocking
• In procedure box will be show u some code , pls enter the code to phone time phone must connect with box.
• after that will be show u The BB5Unlock has been executed!
  Please close phone using power switch!

OK. all the step over. disconnect phone and insert the SIM card ,put battery back , and power on ! everthing ok


Q5 Unlocking Problem. ( gives you 'Code Error' or 'Not Allowed')

A5:
For supported phone models if :

#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+1# , do not work for unlock ( gives you 'Code Error' or 'Not Allowed') ,

U'ID users should try one by one:

#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+7#

#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+6#
#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+5#
#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+4#
#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+3#
#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+2#

#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+1#

For most of the phones if at the stage:

#pw+xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx+7# , gives you 'Phone restriction OFF' it is not need it to try more codes.

Also, after the message: 'Phone restriction OFF' if the phone models do not reboot by themselves, please reboot the phone manually.


Usually should work, but we are still improving this issue..

can u explain mor please about IC is corupted, try to use a external programmer, as LABtool48 try to program it with firmware.bin

When u open the bb5_updater.exe. pls wait about 3-4 sec , then u will be see some info below:

Box connected, awaiting commands.

How can we use battry at 6280.?
Coz it's not easy to sold rap test point.and if we use bat so how can we connect TP at rap.

LAb tool48 and ALL-11 also can do it, The file to write is the 'firm.bin" from the folder of "firmware_update" of UID sw.

Better ask ur reseller change the PCB for u , it's easy ! anyway hope reseller help ur user about this problem also
