So i am looking for that solution.

In my knowledge only reason you can get an invalid hash is if the restore file you downloaded does not match the hash check installed in winpwan. Just recheck ~

Thanks for reply. Actually i did get 1 3g iphone unlocked today, later my freind told he had bought it from virgin in australia and the phone which is now stuck on last step of setting up with itunes was bought from some optus company in Australia.

I pwned it well without error but when i installed custom firmware and on the last step when it shows up usb cable and itunes logo on iphone screen, and has to be set through i tunes. I get error message on itunes that you are using and invalid sim , get a new one from authorized provider etc, etc.

So you are sure if i update to 2.0.2 it will work any info on why is it not working on this iphone while it worked fine on the other iphone both are 3G same model , same firmware .

And so should i download restore file from itunes, i mean should i update it through itunes or download a restore file and manually load it by pressing shift and clicking restore on itunes, and load that downloaded file. I just fear direct update might not be patched .

hi how to tell a 2g 3g iphone

Thank you so much malikkk. I successfully unlocked a 2.0.2 x 2G 3 weeks ago without any problem. But yesterday I got another 2G (with 2.0 or up) that required to update my itunes from 7.7 to 8.0 at the minute that I plugged in the phone. So I went ahead and did it and that's when my nightmare has just began. Now the phone constantly stuck at the screen where I successfully entered DFU and waiting to accept custom IPSWs. My phone will always go white screen and right away my computer pops up a message showing that microsoft detected error and must close winpwn program. And when that happens I can't do anything to the iphone besides restoring it with itunes. So far I've tried all 2.0 firmwares and both expert on and off but same thing just keep happening.

Do you think this has anything to do with my itunes update? Because I am struggling in removing 8.0 back to 7.7 at the moment. Or maybe it was caused by something else??
