With the first error, try an older Phoenix like Alan mentioned above. I was getting that same error and got past it when I downgraded. With the second error, I got that once when I opened the wrong RM number by mistake. Make sure you didn't put in the wrong RM number in the Open dialog.

Basically most old loaders does not completible with latest phoenix and it will only create another different error if you are doing so. And that is the reason why I will advise user to use the originated phoenix with that specific loader instead of swapping it.

Hi,

download this tool http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/s.../bb896647.aspx, start it during flashing, and send log file here.

If it not working, then I guess you got to change your flash chip as phoenix couldn't find the ID of this flash chip.

I guess that you select wrong connection type, as far as I can see you have USB type selected, and right connection type should be FBUS.

Nope, connections type is FBUS - communication port 7 (FLS-5 COM7) , i think 'usb' in the log is used to refer genie/FLS-5 (????),

thanks.

00000036	66.82866669	[3584] CUsbFpi::CUsbFpi()
00000037	66.83554840	[3584] CUsbFpi::OnClientUpdate()
00000038	92.83058929	[3584] CUsbFpi::OnGo()
00000039	140.60681152	[3584] --PollingType:0
00000040	140.60681152	[3584] --bIsProductAcvailable:False
00000041	140.60681152	[3584] --Type:RM-115 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Changed
00000042	200.18994141	[3584] CUsbFpi::~CUsbFpi()

Hi,

If you wish to use USB flashing, my advise is to use with latest phoenix available on the FTP basically there is changes made by Nokia on the USB drivers. Also please remember to remove all phoenix drivers and installation if you are trying to install new or older version. For Fbus more stable version, it will be Phoenix_Service_Software_2008_20_9_34260.exe as this version supported N96 fbus flashing as well. For USB flashing, then it will come to Phoenix_Service_Software_2008_34_10_36039.exe while it supporting N96 and other phone model new hardware USB flashing.

Best Regards
Alan Tan
