Now, once I went in I unlocked OEM, and when I went into download mode, it shows the FRP is now off. But when I tried to factory reset, it is still asking for the google account password. My questions are this. First off, are OEM and FRP the same thing, or does OEM have to be unlocked for FRP to be unlocked? Also, if it shows the FRP is off, why would it still ask for the password? Also are the FRP linked to the SIM. Because once I installed the new SIM, the FRP was off, but before with her SIM it was on. I tried to use the reset activation/frp reset button on my Octoplus, but it said server was busy. Can someone enlighten please, thank you.
Hi, first of all, it is kind of weird what youre saying but.... Let me see if i can make sense out of this. The customers phone was saying that the binary was blocked by frp, which means like said in others post before that you gave the phone to the customer without flashing back to stock, which triggers the binary lock. Now, the oem unlock as far as i know will only give you the chance to flash some files on the phone that are blocked by default. But, if the phone was still asking for the google account i can only think that there was indeed a google account on the phone when you worked that cell phone. Maybe if you were able to enter that email and password the phone was going to deactivate the frp after that. Like the guys said earlier, use common sense and flash the stock before giving the phone to the customer and you will not get the binary blocked by frp issue anymore from your customers. Good luck buddy
