Audi TT Dash 225bhp ~ what chip do I read - GSM-Forum

Hi Guy's.. I have an Audi TT dash which needs the mileage correcting in..
all the 8 leg smd devices arn't eeproms..
I need to know how to read it and any info about programming it..

The dash model number is 8N2920980A

Is one of these a HC912 ??? and if so how to connect to it ???

Not sure, it's a private plate for a celebrity...

Told it may be a 52 plate... 2002

Reading the data after is not a problem... need to know how to get the data and write the new data back in... (I have the new data)

Need to make a programmer to read this clock... I have the data to go in but need the info to read it..

Which chip is the 912, left or right? (Not labled)

It is the 112 pin QFP on the right.

Do you have a Diag and soft to read this chip?

The datasheet is here.
I have a MQP programmer that can read them but it is in excess of £1k.
You can buy cheep proggers to do it though, search google for Motorola 912 programmer.
You could make a very cheep programmer to read it too.
