iPhone 3G 8GB no wifi, no network - GSM-Forum

Hi everybody,
An iPhone 3g 8gb version 3.1.2 is jailbroken, but it doesn't find any network or wifi.

I have restored the original firmware many times via iTunes back and tried to unlock again, no succes.

the modem fw is: 05.11.07

I have reset all the settings and also the network settings, no help.

Any other tips?

the problem is that the iPhone doesn't find any wifi at all after jailbreak.
When simcard inserted, it says no service

Post Jailbreak fixes

1.
Fix AFC2 Error : Blackra1n doesn’t adds the afc2 support to your jailbreaked iPhone. iPhone browser, iFunbox, Diskaid etc uses the afc2 service to access the file system and allow the transfer of files such as Winterboard themes, NES ROMs or eBooks to the iPhone. In short you can’t access root partition of your drive with desktop clients.

Launch the cydia and search for afc2add and install this patch.
*
After installation reboot your phone and you’ll be fine again.

FIX my everything(gps,youtube)

1.) On your iPhone home-screen, tap on the Cydia icon.

2.) If Cydia prompts you for updates, install them all.

3.) In Cydia, tap on the “Manage” tab at the bottom of the screen.

4.) Tap on the “Sources” button.

5.) Tap on the “Edit” button in the top right corner of the screen and then tap the “Add” button in the top left corner.

6.) Type in http://cydia.iphoneil.net and then tap “Add Source“.

7.) Now tap on the “Done” button in the top right corner of the screen.

8.) Tap on the “Search” tab on the bottom of the screen and type in “pushfix“.

9.) Select “pushfix” from the list of search results and then tap “Install” in the top right corner of the screen and then tap “Confirm

WIFI fiX
1.) On your iPhone home-screen, tap on the “Settings” icon.

2.) In the Settings menu, tap on “General“. Scroll to the bottom of the General menu.

3.) In the General menu, tap on “Reset“. Then tap “Reset Network Settings“.

4.) Reboot your iPhone/iPod Touch by holding down the sleep/wake button and sliding to turn off

restore your iphone with 3.1.2 restore custom firmware then unlock with install.bat and it will have network tried and tested

Reheating the wifi chip is not the problem I think as the phone doesn't get network either. Even crazier is that after jailbreak, I can insert any simcard without having to unlock the phone!
But the problem is there is no network niether wifi.
So the software is the problem.

I can't install cydia either cuz I have no wifi connection.

any link on customized fw?

Go to the sticky post at the first page, you will find the post for Cyder to do it without Wifi, that might help you to install Cydia.
