KABAYAN na try mona baito sa 3GS naang firmware na upgrade sa IOS4.0 baseband 5.13 coz were encountering difficulties here in Dubai.. salamat sa tulong ..

You can jailbreak 3Gs on 3.1.3 firmware only if you have the original sim or a so called "One Sim" to activate the 3Gs with itunes.

If NOT, then forget about Jailbreak for 3.1.3 on a 3Gs for the present time my friend!

And Spirit is our only solution for jailbreaking 3.1.3 for now.
Spirit installs Cydia, and in Cydia you can install this "afc2add" just use search in Cydia and you will find it. Need WIFI for this step in order to unlock a 3Gs on 3.1.3

After you have this, use the given program to unlock!

some of you guys might run into problems with ios4.0 on your 3gs.

if you have the new boot rom, it can not be done at the present time. (on your serial number the 4and5 digit describes the manufactured date of your phone, if its is higher then 45 *correct me if wrong* you will have the new boot rom)

but if you are lucky and have the old bootrom, the only way to jailbreak a 3gs /w ios4 is to use pawnage tools which only can be ran on a mac. (from the above post/ link snowbreeze will work on windows with old bootrom)

For those asking for 3gs solution

yes this solution will work with 3gs on fw 3.1.3 use redsnow for 100%
no wifi solution only
old bootrom as of now,,but soon dev-team
is about to release a new version of redsnow
to support 3gs ios4.0 new bootrom and other devices
just be patient,,and this tool will still work on any
redsnow released..just be sure your baseband
match what this tool required..

dude redsnow 5.5b5-4 dont support 3gs it say on their website. It dont even work with iPhone2,1_3.1.2_7D11

you can jailbreak 3gs 3.1.3 oldbootrom jailbreak 1st with spirit dowgrading back to 3.1.2 via caching and faking sh blob and use redsnow but its a risky tricky and long process and requires tecnical skills..and only applies to those 100% broken wifi or simlpy wait devteam release redsnow to support 3gs..

what is the point of that when with spirit you can jb 3.1.3 and just install ultra snow (if you dont need activation anyway) but if you have backed up your blob with cydia in the first place there wouldn't be a problem upgrading or downgrading, as long as you are using the correct servers. and what is so technical about following steps, are you saying every here cant follow steps.
