So basically all you need to do is root the phone then patch the MSL then write cert via UART? and to unlock you just root phone then patch MSL and software will reset unlock codes to 12345678?

Is that correct?

I understand that you do not have to write cert to unlock because you are patching the MSL. I was referring to IMEI repair in the first part of my post.

The Update text includes:\

Galaxy S6 with CP=SS333 Certificate write (Need have Certificate from 3rd sources)

So when you need to write cert you just root phone then patch MSL then write cert via UART?

I am confused. why would write cert option only apply to restoring original IMEI. After you patch/bypass MSL you would be able to write any cert not just original cert.

Restoring original IMEI can be done by writing EFS back to phone without any need for a cert.

This is the same process that many people are not aware about that is used on the note 3. That is patching the msl so you can do direct unlock. Also, when you patch msl that allows you to write cert without wiping efs first.

I dont know if you are saying that to protect yourself legally because i am aware it is illegal in most countries to change IMEI. However, it is not in my country. I just need to know if you can write any compatible cert to the phone as it suggests in the update text.
