Yes, you can this driver.
But no need.
The newest feature is support of human-devices. If you use bluetooth-mouse or bluetooth-keyboard you can do this with software and in the same time you can connect your phone with this drivers.
No second bluetooth-stick is needed.

i tried downloading the acer drivers but the download doesn't start even after a long wait. i have widcomm, tdk and msi 1.3.2.7 drivers, would it be ok if i used them instead. and would it work with a billionton adaptor?

coming to my main problem... i have a billionton bluetooth adaptor and i've accidentally broken th cd that came with it. i bought a T610 last week and i've still not been able to connect to my phone after trying everything i could and now i am at my wits end

i'd be very greatful if anyone could pls tell me how do i install my bluetooth adaptor! i've tried running widcomm, msi and tdk drivers but nothing works. i don't even get a bluetooth icon in my taskbar which by the way should not be because of the hardware because plugging in the hardware comes later on. pls someone help me out here.

thanx.

>i have widcomm, tdk and msi 1.3.2.7 drivers, would it be ok if i used them instead.
Surely yes. I've tried this trick with MSI's "license.dat": everything works just fine! A lot of thanks to bluetoothmaster !
Don't miss this thing: "Donīt click bluetooth-icon!!". Additional warning: Don't try to save Advanced Configuration settings before you patch the "btsec.dll" file!!!

>tell me how do i install my bluetooth adaptor!
This may help: Uninstall any existing BT soft from your system, then check your \Windows\System directory for any copies of "wbtapi.dll" and "widcommsdk.dll" files. If any (or both) of them is still there - remove it! After this - install a fresh version of soft as usual.

thanx for helping out guys... i really appreciate it.

i've come half way through but in dire need of your help again. i know its a pretty long post but pls go thru it and see if u can help me out. here's the story so far:

1) downloaded latest "dell 1.4" drivers and already had widomm
1.3.2.7 drivers.

2) copied license.dat from extracted widcomm directory to dell
directory.

3) after installation i was never asked for licence.dat or
licensekey.

4) edited btsec.dll as told with a hexeditor.

5) didn't click on the bluetooth icon.

and now my problem:

i have the bluetooth icon in my taskbar and even after i plug in my bluetooth adaptor nothing happens. in advanced configuration it says "bluetooth device is not connected".

i got this msg while installing the software that a new hardware is found - "usb controller".

in device manager i now have a "universal serial bus(usb)controller" with a yellow question mark and a exclamation sign under "other devices", i.e. that the device isn't installed properly.

and under "universal serial bus(usb) controllers" in the device manager there is no mention of any bluetooth device.

i'm going insane trying to get my bluetooth to work... someone pls help me out here.

thanx a lot.

@ritz_
First of all - what model of device do you have?
All of Billionton devices I've ever encountered had original CSR's VID=0A12, i.e. they should be detcted by software (see btwusb.inf) as "CSR USB Bluetooth Device".
As a first step, try to install your device manually - update driver for your "universal serial bus(usb)controller" forcing windows to search new driver in \Program Files\xxxx\Bluetooth Software\bin directory.
If this don't help, find an entry for your device in registry (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Enum\USB\...) and post corresponding VID and PID here.

I think if ritz_ update driver manually itīs working.
To find vid/pid there is also an good tool available.
Look on this site: http://www.hhdsoftware.com/usbmon.html
This is good, to find out many datas about usb-adapters.

Yes, HHD tools are good...but they all have one (sometimes fatal) disadvantage - they don't work under Win98 !

I know about 1.4.1.6, normally this version is from dlink and the same release as the 1.4.1.4 from dell.
I download it now and look if the software is patched or originally
More in 1-2 hours
Thx for this info
