| I have exactly the same problem with an iPhone 5.
Restore freezes on the Apple logo with an empty progress bar.
The log hangs at same line as you:
<Restore Device xxxxxxx>: operation 28 progress -1
And only way to move away is to disconnect the device (and fail the restore).
