just use a small iron to remove and replace use flux.
make the pads flat no points with new solder use flux gel will help keep the connector in position. keep a tiny bit of pressure on the connector once in place with a small screwdriver or pin, solder a couple of legs at the ends to hold it there while you solder the rest.
try and keep the connector flat as possible to the board.
