| My iPhone 5s proximity sensor wasn't working, so I tried replacing the proximity/camera/etc sensor assembly. The proximity still didn't work and I also lost the automatic brightness adjustment.
I later cracked the screen, so bought a complete replacement screen from Amazon (SAVFY brand) which has a new set of sensors pre-assembled. After fitting this, I still don't have a working proximity sensor or ambient light.
I've reset the phone back to factory, still no better. The Automatic brightness option doesn't even appear under the brightness slider under settings.
Any suggestion as to whether there's anything I can do in settings? ... or could I have screwed up a connector when I had the case open? |
