In my case D820n - I think it's global issue with HTC bug. My customer do OTA, and after phone has been soft-bricked. HTC bootloop only. I was tryed all variants of ROM from support - on XTC 1.19 and 1.20. For me it's not possible that HTC destroyed something that could not be repaired and this is depend on time who gives solution (last some issues I have 12 years ago when global problem was in Motorola T720i and new solution for that was there MSS by Victor
Regarding Too many links and that "funny words" - phone doesn't know what happen itself
These error broke my balls since few months when have other customer device. Now it has begin to be nightmare if support do nothing
