Dear User,
The MTK patch cert is a bit different from the other Patch Cert methods. Yes, the device will send you back an NG status, but normally you will be able to make calls, and receive calls. Please try it. As far as we know the method won't be wiped out from the device with hard reset/firmware update.
However, obviously issues could appear. So if you won't be able to make any calls, then restore the original IMEI number and the Cert status will be changed.
