i think first check ur power switch
right side top pin will be ~3V when ope and fall to 0V when depressed.
another problem u may see is very flat battery.
i put power supply ~4V on the battery for some second (untill current draw is ~650mA) then put in phone and connect charger. it will now charge as normal
