The modem antirollback procedure, once you run it on a device, will allow you to flash and downgrade modem bit revision. How is this useful? If you run procedure on device, then do patchcert, and client accidentally updates device to higher modem, when samsung blocks current procedures, then you can simply downgrade the modem to older one again and run procedure with no problem. Basically, it means this: if you run this procedure once on a device, the modem will always be able to do patchcert, unlock, etc, even if Samsung blocks in the future, by simply downgrading. |
