I am sharing my experience with new 16 pin connector.

I have used LG8110 24 pin Cable Connector. Cut it from Middle so that it is fixed in the phone connector easily and pins are also visible. Use only that connector which have pins on one side only.
Make cable exactly to the attached Picture and insert it upside down, it will be exactly connected to the RX TX and GND pins of the phone and use it with any USB to SERIAL FTDI OR PROLIFIC device.
I have tested this cable and unlocked MY411X Succesfully without opening the phone.
