no ultimate-sam connected. or the usb cable is not connected
Have gone into control panel ,system,device manager,comm port, prolific usb to serial com port (com 87)
box is lighting up red on blue flashing
Have tried installing on four different computers now and they are show the same error
Have searched forum with no joy

It seems that you USB prolific cable have got the problem. please contact your reseller to replace the cable.
at the first time, it may say not connected, have you given it an other try without taking out the cable out of the clip?
