As by now, nobody seems to know. What I got to know (I have Nokia 8148i) is that the EEPROM in this phone is a parallel type one, so it would be difficult to solder at least 12 or so wires, connect it to programmer, read the eprom, change appropriate bit etc. I also know that there MUST be a way to switch net mon in this phone - one company in Poland claims they do it without dismounting the phone. My guess is that there must be old version of PC Locals (1.3 doesn't work with 81xx) and it can be done via M2BUS cable, but it's only my guess.

I made me M2BUS/FBUS leads and played with the phone with NCDS and WinTESLA, but I have only changed the welcome logo and made it display name instead of just the number of the operator. I have also switched SIM Clock Stop mode ON, but it gave me no savings, it was even worse.
