Good day gentlemen,
I have a background in electronics repair (but not cell phones)
I recently bought a "Swap classic" mtk based watchphone with a slight fault (a button not working) On opening it up it was clear I was not the first inside. To cut a long story short I rebuilt it having found a couple of problems mainly with the assembly and some damage to the antenna which I made good.
The phone ran fine for a couple of days then lost signal.
The phone is still running fine and if I put it close (within 2meters) of my GSM repeater in the workshop it works fine so it would appear that there is either a problem with the PA or Receiver side of things. Can anyone give me any tips please or can anyone sell me a main boad for this device (PCB marked W101A MB V1.3 2008-08-12) and a lower case with antenna or a new antenna (sticky back plastic ribbon type) I am based in the UK.
