Thanks very much for all the help. I guess the question now is how to get winImei. I have a version but it does not let me enter the full IMEI number - it's 1 digit too short. Maybe I need a newer version of winImei? Or do I need to leave off one of the digits when I enter the numbers? I'm reading the IMEI off the original box barcode and it is the same inside the phone, except the number on the phone itself has some dashes and slashes in it...

Thanks very much again to everyone for the help so far - I think I am finally on the home stretch with this problem!!
