If so might be worth buying a few.
I ordered free samples of U503 thru Maxim-IC site (their office is in Ireland).
4 days and got it super fast (it departed from China).
As far as reworking, I decided to use heat gun (careful with hot temps) both to remove and assemble faulty and new ICs and bam! got back to work (all but charging).
I hope that with your dead units the solution will involve only U503.
