But friends there are sometimes, "vibration only" comes from hardware. However it is wiser to upgrade the firmware first of all.
If flashing goes fine & software program detects the phone after flashing in TEST MODE, but it is still only vibrates, you can check the LCD operating voltages (VAUX1 & VIO) on LCD socket.
If u can not find any of these voltages at the LCD socket, it is time to check L2420(VAUX1 comes through this) & R2423 (VIO comes through this)
