I have no problem with 3G with just installing apn (no patch). Also,when i use the original sim,it shows signal bar with "Roaming 3G"

if your phone is showing original no. and inserting original sim shows roaming 3g signals, it must have active line.
but idk why ur msg is not working!!!!
btw ussd codes are not working in any of the phones unlocked on ios 7 with rsim
