not a good idea to have a standalone... there's a lot crackers around the world...
i would recommend to have remote unlocking and flashing...
with regards to davinci server... i have no problem both on unlocking and flashing... works great...
it's better to spend an expensive, stable server, than to have a standalone box and yet just for a few months cloned boxes will emerged and loose all your investments... its rather good to have a wise investment
