I have been robbed of my GSM equipment

Hi.

Thieves broke into my vehicle and stole my GSM equipment. This is a major setback for me, as I leave some of my equipment in my car.

the person who did this or sent someone to do it is probably reading this too. I do not believe the ordinary person would break into a car and steal data cables and clips and leave car stereo , CD's etc.

is stealing of GSM equipment common ? most people here do not even know what it is, so I suppect it may be one of my competitors or someone who wants to get into the business.

this has ruined my weekend, hopefully not my Christmas.

I am emailing my suppliers for quotes on the item lost.

@Tical :

was your laptop stolen too ? cause if that person stole devices , he wont have access to activation files and support access , so its of no use for him and where are you located?

thieves

I too have been a victim of crime most thieves know what they want but the ones who steal to fund there drug addiction will take anything to get there fix, dont forget that clips and other devices we use look unusual so they proberbly think they can get more money for them . as for your stereo being left it means they may have been disturbed and took stuff in bags. Personally i dont leave anything in my car now even though i have remote cctv in the car linked to my pc and a very good alarm system.

dont take risks as you will proberbly find you will be robbed.

by the way the stuff taken should have some sort of serial number on them i always write them down if you have done this contact the suppliers and people who update the stuff and ask them to see if they get requests for new updates.

Also if the people who stole the stuff realise that the cant do anythjing with them they will dump the stuff.

i am talking with experiance in this as its happened to me

take care

filipas

yeah, I will write to deativate them. my laptop was not stolen, as I do not leave it in my car, just my cables and my smartclip. I am now using my Vxxx gold clip, I have ordered another smartclip and cables.

yeah I go to customers location, so I keep stuff in the car for ease of use. (have to scrap that policy now--not leaving anything overnight in my car. not even an umbrella).

quite simple really.
you mentioned the bag had the goods inside it..
a bag is easy to carry and doesnt look as suspicious as carrying a alpine stereo with cables hanging out the back would be.....
