Before anything else, have you made any attempts to revive your dead 3210? How long did it stay underwater?

Why don't you try the following, i've done this on several units including 3210's.

Usually, what you should do first is to disperse the fluids that came in contact with your board. Then try to remove rust or corrosion that has started to build up within the parts/circuit. In both cases, WD40 should do the trick. Just don't soak it too long coz WD40 eats most metallic surface it comes in contact with.

Then remove WD40 fluid. And to do that, use contact cleaners. Remove any excess liquid left behind then let dry for a couple of hours.

When unit is dry, try running it using a "good battery". Most batteries discharge when it comes in contact with water and this could sometimes mislead people to think that their cellphone is dead.

If your cellphone lits up, check for any troubles (i.e. signal). Usually,a good ol' hot air therapy should restore it back in shape.

And if it fails, well...

I did try something out on several "still dead" cellphones after doing the above mentioned. I tried to make a readout of the flash using dejan's. To my surprise, it did gave a readout. Checking out the results, i found out that some of the flash contents were changed. After fixing the flash, the phone(s) are now kicking a**.

I hope this could also help you with your toubles.

Regards,

aCe

Do you have the Dejan flasher? If you have it, use it to make a readout of your phone. That way you will know if your phone is still running or some major parts are busted (i.e. CCONT, FLASH, MAD).

And as a reminder, be sure the battery you are using to check this unit runs on a good 3210 or better yet, use the battery from a working unit. As I mentioned earlier, it is usually the battery that gets discharged when soaked with liquid. It might make you conclude that the phone is a goner.

aCe
