Red face 3310 problem display disappears after input pin


Hi

I have a strange problem with a few 3310s the phone powers ups with display ok but when you insert a sim and put in the pin number the smiley apears and says code accepted the display will go blank i know the phone has not hung because i can still dial out from the phone but their is nothing on the display what could be pthe problem with these phones has anyone else seen this king of a problem??? Please help.

change new LCD original -> your phone will be 100% ok...

Dissagree if the phone boots and the screen is ok i would be inclined to think it is a software problem. I'm afraid i dont know the answer but i dont think a new screen will help. Anyone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

I have seen this problem a few times and usually have managed to cure it by flashing the software

Hi

Thanks all , i have tried a new lcd but this did not work the phones do not hang after inputing the pin their is just nothing on the display thats all but the phone is functioning ok make & receive calls etc.. so i have no idea as to what the problem might be

I had similar with a 6210 i upgraded and all was well, you could try that ...

try 2 change lcd frame i mean lcd with frame complete. use new LCD with no capacitor in the back. if nothing can happen try to upgrade and downgrade software versions. im a teknician here in d philippines. i repair this problems 2 to 3 phones in 5 days (33xx-82xx) this problem same with inbox disapper. i always use this method always and all perfect. sorry for my english, im slow.

Hi

I have solved the problem in one of the phones using a very strange method i connected the phone and in logomanger i put a blank screen as the startup logo and this semms to have worked for 2 of the phones the others are still behaving the same...Can some one send me the files for upgrading version i am afraid to do with the files i have because i am not sure what size the should be and what is correct method to do it..If anyone has this problem please try blank screen on startup logo and let me know if it works for you all the phones that i have with this problem are 3310 V4.45 PPM F. Anyone doing free logs???
