can anyone help me repair an incorrectly flashed 3310 v5.57. would a full flash be enough to get it working again?

Hello!

First i would sugest you take a look in older topics!

Topics like these have been discussed tons of times.

To repair a 3310 is really easy, you just have to upload a full flash (00200000 to 00400000), repair IMEI, Unlock and calculate FAID (you can do all this with EEPROM TOOLS or similar).

...and my cable is connected to the parallel port (LPT1) EepromTools only seems to work with the com ports :S

There are some tutorials around the web, but it's easier to find info around the forum.

You will need mbus connection to repair your phone.. but this depends of the extent of the damage you have caused to your phone... if you only messed with MCU then you will not need mbus cable to make the necessary calculations with eeprom tools.

All I've done is used dejan's flasher to put a full flash on the phone, now it wont turn on.

Can you suggest a place to buy an mbus cable in the uk?

What was the size of the flash file? What was the adress you flashed to?

Use Rolis flasher/write full flash 3310w557-MCU+PPM+EEPROM
after that phone must can power on.
Repair cheksums and IMEI with dejan eeprom repair[M-bus]

You can made M-bus from eny nokia data cable
GND-M bus[ rx and tx shortcut]

the flash file was 1.9mb and i used the start address of 00200000

That flash file is probabbly corrupted... Use one that contains all (MCU+PPM+EEPROM)! That should be 2mb long.

partial is way too old... get yourself a set of MBUS cables.
