5110 help please


i have unlocked my 5110 it takes all sim cards
but when i put an orange sim in it, it has no signal yet in my unlocked a300 it dose.
also when i put a vodafone sim in it says vodafone but when i put the orange sim in it says nothing just has power level and signel level which is none?
can u help

I'm not sure right now but maybe orange works in 1800 Mhz band, but I can say that your old 5110 (that is not dualband) can't work with this frecuency. In Spain there's the same problem with the operator AMENA... you canīt use this company's card in a 5110 due the working frecuency.

sim not working

I used to have a 5110 and tried putting an orange sim in it, but there was also no signal, but the sim wrked fine in my 8310, i accidentally dropped my fone and then the sim wrked, so theres no real reason y it dnt wrk

Moli is correct, 5110 is GSM900 ONLY. Works in the UK with O2 and Vodaphone ONLY. Nokia 5130 and Nokia 5146, work with Orange, T-Mobile and Virgin sims, because thesde phones are GSM1800.

Therefore you phone will only work with O2 or Vodaphone period.
