9210i imei change? - GSM-Forum

Hi i have a 9210i data cable(serial) and have tried to use rolis nokia tool 1.9 to unlock it and change the imei but the software wont read the phone!
Any 1 know anyother software that will work, or if the phone can be done via data cable? Any thing would be great!!

nokia tool 1.9 is 4 DCT3 but 9210i is DCT-L so it can be done with that software

do u know what i could be doing wrong? Dose the phone need to be switched on? what settings do i need on nokia tool?

make the cable manualy, maybe is cable for connect to internet, find pinout by bruce and make easy cable with MBUS mode, and sure your phone will can connect with PC.

ok mate thanks for your help below is a diagram of what the cable looks like and whats bruce's pin outs say > i only have 3 cables coming out and the pin outs mention 4! Also on mine the black wire joins 2 bits

I am going to try and move the black wire so it is touching numbr 8 and ill get back to you

ive got a cable with 7 wires going to the com port bit > which ones do i need to connect to?

Hi,

depends on which IMEI you want to change....

There's a IMEI s/w program to change the 'Symbian IMEI' (PDA)
I change the 'phone part' (CMT) in test mode with a service battery
and (offcourse) the phone then turned on .....

Rollis software 1.9 works great for CMT .......

any 1 who has a 9210 cable and knows that it can change imei please can you open it up and tell me what pins the wires go to, any are joined/briged(as in 1 wire joins 2 pins) and the colours please

This will save me a lot of time

pin 1 = white
pin 2 = blue
pin 3 = not used
pin 4 = black
pin 5 = not used
pin 6 = not used
pin 7 = not used
pin 8 = red
