Boot Count,Load Boot Data Problem Solution!!!

Hi,

I made 3 circuit for this f...ing flasher.
I used 74C14,74LS14,74HC14,74HCT14 and i tried EPP,ECP,SPP,ECP+EPP and Normal Mode.
I tried also different boot.bin and F_loader.bin files.I tried two 5110 5.28 and one 5.29 for this flasher.
Nothing has changed and Flasher didn't work.
I talked with Y2K about 8 hours and e-mail with Meshoz for this problem.
Thank you my friends Y2K and Meshoz.
I was trying about 1 months for this flasher.
I used also Pentium-75 and Pentium-120.

But today I tried in a Pentium III-550 and f....ing flasher worked 100 %.
in Bios only SPP mode is selected.

All my problem was in my old Computers...
And i want to share this info with All forum members.

I want to ask a question ?
Is there anybody who use Pentium Celeron II-300 through Celeron 400 and worked Flasher ?
Because I want to buy Pentium Celeron II-333 for this problem.

Best Regards...

what about the real reliable Hex Converter instead of the 74hc series ? Have you thought about this ? There must such a component which can save us all this compatibility trouble ?

Hi guys,
I have Celeron 566 and 128 MB RAM.
I can work with 5110 OK but with 3310 I have
Boot count problem. I tried all loaders and nothing.I also tried all combination EPP,ECP,SPP, EPP/ECP but still nothing.
The flash inside 3310 is ST M28W160BT.
Anybody have any sugestions or loaders to try.

Hi,

Right now, I have Pentium Celeron II-300 and 64 MB RAM.Flasher worked well.First I read from 5.28 and 5.29 and Hexedit showed me FF00FF00FF....Then i tried a lot of *.tia files.I readed from 5.28 which flash made by Sharp. But in 5.29 there is AMD flash (000122DA) and it gives FF00FF00FF00....

Best Regards...

Question

I have test it:

2 x AMD Duron 650 - works only with writing
1 x Pentium1 166MHz - doesen't works
1 x Celeron 333MHz Notebook - WORKS perfect
1 x Pentum II 500MHz - WORKS perfect

Why the are different?
Celeron and Pentium II works with writing and reading.

yes, i will tell you ...

ok every electronic device uses voltage you all know that!

but you must also remember that the device is run from the current, NOT the voltage alone ...

your pc mainboard or expansion card that contains your port circuit, has a buffer to protect it, and it is this buffer that is the cause of your problem! why? well its stopping EXCESS current being drawn. Because most port devices are self powered, via batteries or mains.... now i know that the 74hc series are cmos that use less volt, but slightly more current than the 4000 series ic.
