Unhappy Help! Cannot Write in EEprom 24256 Chip By Ponyprogrammer

Can somebody please help me? I just read the 3210's 24c256 chip by the Pony Programmer and EEprom Burner, then I save it to Bin and E2p file. I open the saved bin file to Eeprom Repairer by Guar, then repair it. When Im ready to write the repaired Bin file back to the EEprom chip, after I pressed the write device, it displayes write failed. I already follow and repeat the procedure and it always a failure. The only thing Im confused in this program is when I try to write back the original read file of the 24c256 chip, the writing succedded. Only original file can be wrote down back to the chip, but not the edited ones. Why? Can somebody pls help me?

Check programming voltage! Put 5 Volt to Pin 8 of EEPROM and you wont have any problems with reading and writing! But only do this, if you desoldered the eeprom from pcb!

Greetings MR...

Hello Guys! Thanks for the help. I just followed the instructions you've told me and it was a success. I can already write from the eeprom chip. I just removed the pins 5,6,7 and 8 from the board, and connected the eeprom burner to the pins 5,6 and 8 and gnd. I just leaved pin 7 hangs in the air.
Hey Brobble my friend, Do you still remember the 3210v5.31c backup that you repaired? I just flashed that repaired backup that you've gave me. But still CS. No luck. A friend of mine gave me a full backup of the fone and I try to flashed also. But still no luck, CS. Before that problem happens, this means that the fone is still alive. Ive just make an experiment from my fone. I removed the 24128 eeprom from the board and try to read the eeprom data. After I read the eeprom, I save the file as e2p and bin file. So Ive just made a backup of my eeprom.
Now, when the problem appears, I removed the pins of the 24128 eeprom and try to read again to check for the checksums. Unluckily the device is not responding. I've found out that the device is defective. So, my friend gave me a 24256 eeprom chip that came from another fone. Is it possible to write the saved bin file to the 24256 chip? The original chip is 24128, but now its a 24256? Thnks again m8's

Hi! I just try to write the original 24128 saved bin file to the 24256 eeprom. But when I power on fone, still CS. Why? If I return the original bin file of the 24256 eeprom, CS dissappears, but no network, rebooting and the IMEI was change of course. I found out that 24256 has 32KB capacity while the 24128 has only 16KB. I also try to repair the 24128 saved bin file to Guar. But when I compare the repaired bin file to the original w/ the hex editor, they're both the same and it displays the phone is OK.
If the original bin file has checksum, why is it the Guar program nor Bartek cannot find nor repair the saved eeprom bin file?

Bartek and guar NOT enough to recover wrong eeprom unlock (for examp, overwrite SP area at 020-038 in the eeprom)!
These progs only recalc chksums and check IMEI is OK with Origi IMEI (XOR65) or not. But if your eeprom has got corrupted/overwrited data the first 38 byte the Bartek and The Guar dont able to calc that data ( it is just can calc IMEI from the origi one, but the other bytes?).
These bytes are individual in every phone and calc with IMEI, CobbaID and so forth, I think.
I dont think that you have got hardwer prob, because you say it workd with another eeprom dump (naturaly with no network and other IMEI).
I have a similar prob than you, an overwrited 020-038 data in the eeprom, and still any can help me!

Maybe sent me your origi dump and the version of 3210. I'll try to help you, because I got some eeprom dumps of 3210.

Hi guys! Thanks for the help. I just sorted it out. I just open the ponyprog. and choose 24128 instead of 24256 chip. Then I write the original bin file to the 24256 chip. Then after that, I power on fone and connect it to the build 035, read fone and checked all sfs eccept default IMEI. Then the fone is fixed. Thats all.
